I read the dictionary and started dreaming
The next thing I remember is I got up screaming.
When the English tongue we speak
Why is break not rhymed with freak?
Will you tell me then why it’s true,
We say sew just the same like few.
And the maker of "verse",
Cannot rhyme "horse" with "worse"?
"Beard" is not the same as "heard",
"Cord" is different from the "word",
If "cow" is cow, then why not "low" is laow,
Tell me why "shoe" is never rhymed with "foe"?
Think of comb with tomb and bomb,
And think of doll with roll and home with some.
And since "pay" is rhymed with "say",
Why not "paid" with "said" I pray?
Think of blood with food and good,
Then why "mould" is not pronounced as "could".
Why done and gone differ from lone
Is there any reason known?
The fight of "to" and "go" is old,
But never to us the reason is told.
To sum up all, it seems to me
Sounds and letters do not agree...

Hehe... nice poem... sounds more like lyrics of a rap song.. sahi hai...
its good ... could have been better.
1. d 3rd n 4th paragraphs r not that necessary because ur able to convey ur message in d 2nd para. So, may be they can be changed.
2. u can write something which says -
"dictionary is a place where divorce comes before marriage, or death comes b4 life, devil/evil comes b4 god". D first one-divorce n marriage- is a forward, but others can also be there.
If u dont want u can leave it. And as Rajat said - its definitely a RAP ;-)
well again a nice one...writing such general poems obviously shows how good u r at poems..keep going!!!
